Research Interests
 I'm currently into Mechatronics, but my other areas of interest are: Industrial Robotics, Mobile Robotics, Modeling and Dynamics, Control Theory, Real-time Control, Embedded Systems

Current Work
 My diploma thesis focuses on the design and implementation of the Underwater Robotis Experimental Tow Tank System (URETTS), a multi-axis servomechanism that supports research activities involving CSL's Robotic Fish. The implementation involves the development of an Embedded Motion Control Platform (EMCP) using the BeagleBone Embedded Linux computer, a custom real-time software infrastructure and the electronics necessary to interface the EMCP to the motor drivers. Additionally, the design aspect involves the complete physical modelling of the system, experimental identification of model parameters using System Identification (SI) methods and the design of Model Based Controller (MBC) for the controlling of the End-Effector Platform (EEP). 
 I am also currently conducting a 6-month stage (internship) at the European Space Ageny (ESA). My primary project involves the implementation of a scaled-down versionof the ExoMars rover using LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 components in order to develop an ExoMars Planetary Robotics Educational Platform (ExoPREP).
