Nicolaos Vazatis is in the senior year of his Mechanical Engineering Diploma at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His dissertation thesis focuses on Electromyographic (EMG) signal processing of shoulder motion. The long-term goal of this project is the design of a fully autonomous and portable exoskeletal robotic arm for people with handicaps in their upper extremeties. His research interests currently lie in the design of biomedical robotics and electronics.
