Visit of a Michigan State University delegation to the School of Mechanical Engineering – NTUA, 11-11-2024
The purpose of the meeting was to collaborate on joint degrees and exchanges of students and professors, as well as to expand the already existing cooperation with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Members of the delegation: Dr. John Papapolymerou, Dean, College of Engineering, Dr. Minami Yoda – Chair of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Peter Savolainen – Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Dr. Nelson Sepulveda – Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dr. Philip Eisenlohr – Associate Chair for Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, and Dr. Adam Alessio – Chair of Biomedical Engineering.
From the School of Mechanical Engineering of NTUA, the meetings were attended by Professor Evangelos Papadopoulos, Director of the Laboratory of Automatic Control and Regulation of Machines and Plants, and Assoc. Prof. Vasilios Spitas.
Dr. Minami Yoda – Head of the corresponding School of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University, was informed about the research being conducted at the laboratory and possibilities for collaboration were discussed, such as the creation of a joint doctoral program in Mechanical Engineering and Robotics.
The visit concluded with an invitation from Dr. M. Yoda to Prof. E. Papadopoulos to visit MSU to explore the development of further joint activities and collaborations.
