Visit of a delegation from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to NTUA and the Automatic Control and Regulation Laboratory of Machines and Facilities of the School of Mechanical Engineering – NTUA
The visit took place on Monday 11-11-2024 in the context of a discussion for the signing of a Global Strategic Partnership agreement between the two institutions and for the creation of Sino-Hellenic Joint Labs.
Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is one of the most important higher education institutions in China with excellent evaluations and significant research work in scientific fields such as: Material science, Robotics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Automation, Energy.
The members of the Chinese delegation met with the Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Outreach of NTUA, Prof. Emmanouel (Manos) Varvarigos and Messrs. A. Lambropoulou and A. Danou of the Department of International Relations and EU of NTUA, while the meeting was also attended by the Educational Attaché of the Chinese Embassy, Ms. Ying Wang.
The two sides expressed keen interest in starting a substantial cooperation between the two Universities, underlining their common scientific and research interests.
Subsequently, the members of the Chinese delegation were given a tour of the laboratory of Automatic Control and Regulation of Machines and Installations of the School of Mechanical Engineering of NTUA, which is directed by Prof. Evangelos Papadopoulos.
The visitors had the opportunity to see the laboratory’s facilities and equipment up close, to obtain direct knowledge of current research projects, to exchange knowledge, ideas and opinions, with the aim of promoting collaborations between NTUA and NUAA, for which they showed strong interest.
